OUR MISSION
The McDonnell Family Foundation exists to serve children who are in at-risk situations, or who have no ability to help themselves. Traditionally, this mission has been accomplished over a broad range of issues facing children: adoption and foster care, special needs, domestic abuse, medical trauma, loss of a provider, and many others. While the Foundation continues to grow our endowment and partnership group, we have refined the scope of the mission to focus on a few areas of particular need.
We are seeking to source new partnerships, both domestic and international, with a focus on the most perilous of situations for children. More specifically, we are looking to support organizations helping in the following ways:
-
Relief from forced slave labor
-
Relief from sex trafficking or cyber trafficking
-
Relief and escape from domestic abuse environments
-
Delivery of critical hunger relief
-
Delivery of critical medical procedures, equipment, or supplies
-
Support for orphaned or abandoned children
To best serve our Mission, we have clearly defined opportunities that we will no longer consider for funding. Those areas include:
-
Scholarship funds
-
Higher Education funds
-
Brick-and-Mortar needs
In addition to offering financial grants, the Foundation gladly offers the time and energy of our Board members to consult, coach, or otherwise support our partners whenever possible. It is our hope that we can add whatever value possible to our partners. This type of personal involvement is done on a local level. Current Board Members reside in: California, Colorado, and Minnesota.

Our partnership with the McDonnell Family Foundation has allowed the All-Stars Club to impact thousands of lives in the developmentally disabled community. Their support has been vital in helping us fulfill our mission in the Denver Metro area. - Scott Russomanno (Executive Director)
